Baptism Story: Meet the Chase Family

You never know the eternal impact you might have when you invite a friend or neighbor to church.

Arshadd and Vishala Chase didn’t accept their neighbors’ first invitation to Front Range Christian Church in Castle Rock, Colo., but the neighbors kept asking. One of TSF’s partner churches, Front Range moved out of a rented school space and into their new church home in September 2024 thanks to the support of The Solomon Foundation and their investors. The Chases, both of Indian heritage, were raised in different faiths and hadn’t been to church since they were children.

Arshadd was born in Barbados and immigrated to the U.S. when he was 14; Vishala came to the U.S. from South America during college. Vishala had some exposure to Christianity after her brother converted during high school and the couple had their daughters blessed in the Hindu faith to ward off evil spirits in response to family tradition. But the family hadn’t felt pulled towards any particular religion, and Vishala recalls feeling like she was doing fine living her own life, and that being a good person was enough. “I thought church was all about following rules,” she said.

In February 2025, the couple took their daughters, 13-year-old Anjali and 8-year-old Sunjhana, to services at Front Range in response to their neighbors’ repeated invitations. Front Range welcomed the Chases with open arms and changed their long-held misconceptions about church. “I saw that the pastors were real people with real-life struggles. I couldn’t believe how welcoming everyone was. They greeted me by name and made me feel welcome and noticed,” Vishala said. “Church is for real people, for everyday life.”

After only a couple months attending Front Range, an unexpected desire sparked within the family. “When we started going to Front Range, everything changed,” Vishala said. “The hope became to bring our family together in the same faith.”

On Baptism Sunday that spring, Arshadd and Vishala’s eyes met during the service as their hearts shared the movement of the Holy Spirit. As they stood to get baptized, their daughters followed. Their neighbors were there cheering for the family as they emerged from the water together.

Vishala said her family has grown closer since that day as they explore their newfound faith in Jesus and learn what it means to be part of the body of Christ.

When you invest with The Solomon Foundation, you’re doing more than earning a great rate—you’re part of a movement that’s growing churches, impacting communities, and changing lives.
